Returns & Refunds Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If something isn't right, here's how we can help.


1. Return Eligibility

We accept returns under the following conditions:

  • Item was purchased within the last 30 days
  • Item is unused, unworn, and in its original packaging
  • Item is not marked as final sale or non-returnable

📝 Note: Certain product categories (e.g., digital downloads, perishable goods, personalized items) may not be eligible for return. See Section 5 for exclusions.


2. How to Initiate a Return

  1. Contact us at support@smartlitr.com with your order number and reason for return.
  2. We will respond within 2 business days with return instructions.
  3. Ship the item back to the address provided using a trackable shipping method.
  4. Once we receive and inspect the item, we will process your refund.

3. Refunds

Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 14 calendar days of receiving the returned item. Please note that your bank or payment provider may take additional time to process and post the refund.


4. Exchanges

We offer exchanges for items of equal value. To request an exchange, follow the same process as a return and note the item you'd like in exchange. Exchanges are subject to availability.


5. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned or refunded:

  • Digital products / downloadable content
  • Perishable goods
  • Personalized or custom-made items
  • Items marked as Final Sale
  • Items returned after the 30-day return window

6. Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you received a damaged or incorrect item, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and a photo of the issue. We will send a replacement or issue a full refund at no additional cost to you.


7. Return Shipping Costs

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item was damaged or incorrect. For defective or incorrectly sent items, SMARTLITR will cover all return shipping costs and provide a prepaid return label.


8. EU Consumer Rights (Germany & Netherlands)

As we ship to Germany and the Netherlands, the following statutory rights apply to all EU consumers:

  • You have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 30 days of delivery without giving any reason (Widerrufsrecht / Herroepingsrecht) — exceeding the 14-day EU legal minimum.
  • You are entitled to a 2-year statutory guarantee under EU Sale of Goods Directive 2019/771, covering manufacturing defects and non-conformity.
  • Disputes may be submitted to the EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) Platform at: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
  • German customers: Additional rights under §§ 312g, 355 BGB (German Civil Code) apply.
  • Netherlands customers: Rights under Boek 7 of the Dutch Civil Code (BW) apply.
